Terms & Conditions

  • The Grand Prize winner of the competition shall receive 10,000.00 euros on condition that the entrant initiates a crowdfunding campaign with a mutually approved crowdfunding platform. The prize funds will be contributed directly to the winner’s crowdfunding campaign account. In any situation where the crowdfunding campaign fails to reach the targeted amount and where as a result the crowdfunding platform’s terms and conditions prevent the campaign from collecting pledged funds, HP will remit the prize funds directly to the entrant at the conclusion of the crowdfunding campaign.

  • Two Finalists shall receive 2,500.00 euros on condition that the entrant initiates a crowdfunding campaign with a mutually approved crowdfunding platform. The prize funds will be contributed directly to the winner’s crowdfunding campaign account. In any situation where the crowdfunding campaign fails to reach the targeted amount and where as a result the crowdfunding platform’s terms and conditions prevent the campaign from collecting pledged funds, HP will remit the prize funds directly to the entrant at the conclusion of the crowdfunding campaign.

  • One People’s Choice Winner will receive 2,500.00 euros on condition that the entrant initiates a crowdfunding campaign with a mutually approved crowdfunding platform. The prize funds will be contributed directly to the winner’s crowdfunding campaign account. In any situation where the crowdfunding campaign fails to reach the targeted amount and where as a result the crowdfunding platform’s terms and conditions prevent the campaign from collecting pledged funds, HP will remit the prize funds directly to the entrant at the conclusion of the crowdfunding campaign.

  • The Grand Prize winner and Finalists shall be determined by a jury panel. The People’s Choice Prize shall be determined by the highest average rating on a scale of 1 to 5 for each competition entry by visitors voting on the website http://launchbox.cutandpaste.com (the ”Website”) between [June 9th, 2014 – July 11th, 2014]. The average rating shall be calculated by averaging all the ratings submitted by registered visitors to the Website to two decimal points. In the event of an equal highest average rating, then the entry with the most ratings will be awarded the People’s Choice Prize.

  • The Entry Process is open to all permanent residents of the European Union except employees of Hewlett Packard, its partners and distributors. An Entrant may be a company or an individual person. If the entrant is a Company, each Entry must have a contact person who serves as an agent of the Company.

  • The entrant(s) must be aged 18 or over. Proof of identity and age may be required.

  • Use of a false name or address or identification will result in disqualification. Proof of identity will be required and must be verified in order to claim a prize.

  • Entries that are incomplete, illegible or indecipherable will not be valid and deemed void.

  • All entries must be made directly by the person or agent of company entering the competition.

  • An Entry is defined as a completed form of text information, images and at the entrants discretion may also include video content describing the entrant’s project. All videos will be submitted as embedded videos hosted by third-party video hosting services (such as YouTube or Vimeo). Entrants will submit video by providing the “embed code” of their videos. Cut&Paste and HP have the right to remove any videos or content considered obscene, offensive or found to infringe on trademark, copyright, or other intellectual property rights. Entries may be submitted between April 8th, 2014 and June 6th, 2014.

  • No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed in transmission or electronic transfer to Cut&Paste or HP.

  • All entrants warrant that they own all trademarks, copyrights, and/or appropriate patents tied to the intellectual property submitted in the entry process.

  • Entrant indemnifies HP and Cut&Paste of all liability tied to the submission of the entry including any infringement of intellectual property submitted by entrant.

  • After the Entry Deadline at 11:59PM GMT on June 6th, 2014, a limited selection of entries will be displayed on the Website on the Project Gallery page. Only the entries displayed on the Project Gallery Page will be eligible for the Grand Prize, the Finalist Prizes, or the People’s Choice Prize. Not all entries will be displayed. The Promoter will determine the number and selection of entries to be displayed.

  • The prizes are as stated, are not transferable to another individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.

  • The winning entrants are responsible for expenses and arrangements not specifically included in the prizes, including any necessary travel documents, passports and visas. For the avoidance of doubt the winning entrants shall be solely responsible for any tax liability incurred as a consequence of accepting any of the prizes provided by HP.

  • The promoters reserve the right to amend or alter the terms of competitions at any time and reject entries from entrants not entering into the spirit of the competition.

  • The winner(s) agree(s) to the use of their name, photograph and disclosure of country of residence and will co-operate with any other reasonable requests by HP relating to any post-winning publicity. Furthermore, upon submission HP shall have a worldwide, perpetual right to use and share any information relating to the entries, including the entry in its entirety, with any third party which HP deems appropriate for any purpose.

  • The winning entrants of the competition shall be contacted by HP in July 2014. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner(s). If the Grand Prize and/or Finalist Prize winner(s) cannot be contacted, or are unable to comply with these terms and conditions, the Promoter will award the prizes to the next project ranked in order of the Jury criteria. If the People’s Choice Prize winner cannot be contacted, or is unable to comply with these terms and conditions, the Promoter will award the prize to the entry with the next highest average rating and highest number of ratings if necessary in the case of breaking a tie.

  • Confirmation of the prize will be made in writing to the winner(s).

  • Failure to respond and/or provide an address for delivery, or failure to meet the eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize.

  • By reading these terms and entering the competition, the entrant acknowledges that HP shall not, and shall not be any obligation to, return or dispose of the submitted entries.

  • Competitions may be modified or withdrawn at any time.

  • A list of winners will be available by writing to HP at the Promoter’s address no earlier than six weeks after the close date of the competition. Only the surname and country of the winners will be disclosed.
